2018 Hurricane Preparedness

June 12, 2018

The 2017 hurricane season showed Floridians that there is no time to be complacent about the risk of a hurricane impacting you or your family. Irma, although weakened at landfall, affected many areas of southwest Florida including the Sarasota area.

It is important to remember that being prepared is the best and easiest way to care for your home and the safety of your loved ones. According to the Attorney General, not all hurricane window protections are equal. Films and other similar systems that are attached only to the window pane or window frame do not meet standards set by the Florida Building Commission. When looking into protecting your home with impact resistant windows and doors, make sure they are approved by the Florida Building Commission. Absolute Window and Door strives to install only the highest quality, Florida manufactured impact window and door products. As a locally owned and operated business it is our mission to serve our customers, strive for excellence, and be the first and only name you think of when it comes to replacement of windows and doors in Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties.
